Another long, cold day at work. It’s amazing how much energy the cold saps from you when you can’t get out of it. This means another iPad day today. Tomorrow is a day off from work and a new module came in, which I just might explore.
Today should feel familiar, but not the same as my other iPad patches this Jamuary. The Alexandernaut Fugue Machine sent four separate midi streams to four separate software instruments: Klevgrand Pipa, Klevgrand Speldosa, and two instances of Decent Sampler, one playing violin, the other playing low strings.
Ultimately I like the result as a sketch, but it needs some work. I need to actually envelope the voices in Pipa. There’s a lot of competition for space in the mix, and I think a bit too much reverb is probably a contributor.
